Hawkinge Community After School Club is an Ofsted registered setting offering a range of activities in a play led environment, including arts, crafts, role-play, cooking activities, indoor and outdoor games.
The facility provides the community of Hawkinge with a safe and secure space for children to play and socialise after school.
The After School Club aims to provide stimulating activities, which will develop the children, within a safe, caring environment.
- After School Club – Monday to Friday – 3pm till 6pm during school term-time
- Holiday Club – Monday to Friday – 8am till 6pm
(Normally one week at Easter and two weeks of the summer holidays)

Activities on Offer
The Club plans a wide range of activities, including cookery and healthy living, arts and crafts, outside game sessions, competitions, music etc. Plans are always available and parents are invited to see what is happening.
How to Book a Place
Before attending, an enrolment form has to be completed and signed by the parent. Please make sure that any emergency details are correct, and if they change, or the days you request change, please complete a new form.

All requests for places will be confirmed by the Senior Club Co-ordinator.
Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage
The Club operates within the legislation detailed in the EYFS and was recently inspected by Ofsted who assessed the overall standard of the setting as “Good”. The inspector commented that “Children benefit from a high level of care and an environment that is welcoming and well organised” and that “children are able to make independent choices in their play and show good levels of self-confidence”.

Priority is given to children in the school but the club is open to all children, whichever school they attend. Spaces will be issued on a first come first served basis.
- After School Club session fee – £8.50
- Holiday Club session fee – £20 per full day or £10 half day (8 till 1pm or 1pm till 6pm)
Sessions must be paid for in advance either by cash, cheque or bank transfer. The club also accepts childcare vouchers from several different providers.
Failure to pay in advance may result in your child’s place at club being suspended.
Background of Club
The Club was established in 2004 by Kent Play Clubs, with the support of New Opportunities Funding, to provide a facility for children after school, which can educate and provide opportunities for creativity and sport, whilst caring for children of working and non-working parents. Policies and Procedures
The Club has a set of policies that we ask that you spend a few minutes reading if your child joins. On the application we ask you to sign that you uphold the policies of the Club. We cannot accept anyone who does not wish to sign. All the policies adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage and support and encourage good practice.
